I'm Brian Chang (He/Him), your former Toronto Centre federal NDP candidate. 

As New Democrats, we know better is possible – we’ve seen it here with Suze Morrison and Kristyn Wong-Tam, and when Olivia Chow became our Mayor last year. But our community continues to be saddled with an out-of-touch Liberal MP, and in 2025, we can change that.

I’m running to be your NDP MP so we can finally address issues that matter – acting on the climate emergency; fixing our public medicare and making healthcare head-to-toe; building homes people can afford. The latest violence in Palestine & Israel has been unbearable for us all to watch – I will always be a voice for justice & peace, and I’ll continue advocating for a permanent ceasefire.

Thousands of Toronto Centre residents have voted for me, volunteered their time, and donated their money. Working as a campaigns officer at OPSEU/SEFPO, I know how to bring people together and what we can achieve. With your support, we’ll build on our successes and I know we’ll win the next election in Toronto Centre.

In my work over the last few years, here’s how I’ve delivered:

• Researched and settled dozens of collective agreements for bargaining units across Ontario 
• Represented tens of thousands of workers in interest arbitrations
• Taught at the Institute for Change Leaders at Toronto Metropolitan University
• Helped elect MPPs Suze Morrison and Kristyn Wong-Tam
• Led organizing in Toronto Centre electing Olivia Chow as Mayor

Samantha Green

My name is Samantha Green (she/her) and I’m running to be the federal NDP candidate in Toronto Centre. I’m a family physician in Regent Park and Street Haven women’s shelter, and I live in Moss Park with my partner and three children. I am also a long-time anti-poverty and environmental justice activist. Over the last two decades, I have worked to increase social assistance rates, improve shelter conditions, and combat the climate crisis. Lately, I have joined groups calling for an end to Canada's support of the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

I'm running because, as a family physician in the riding, I've heard stories from my patients about their inability to afford housing or groceries, I've unfortunately had patients die from the toxic drug crisis, and I've seen the impact of extreme heat and climate change. The NDP is the only party working to take bold action on all these intertwined crises. I bring a fresh perspective and new energy to the Toronto Centre NDP, and I will energize and engage people across the riding to vote for a progressive government and a bold, progressive future. The Liberals have taken Toronto Centre for far too long, showing up for photo ops while ignoring the affordability crisis that threatens Toronto’s many vibrant and diverse communities. I am determined to turn Toronto Centre orange and bring our voices and our solutions to Ottawa!
